OUR leaders LOVE summermadness!!!  Some would say that it is a condition... because they start doing strange things at this time of the year. ["I've got summermadness, "I've got summermadness, "I've got summermadness, "I've got summermadness, "I've got summermadness, "I've got summermadness, "I've got summermadness!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!] 

Summermadness is our budget camp for those in year 7-9.  We have a mad time together each December.  It's a relaxing time [lots of cricket, swimming, bumming, & eating].

There are 3 reasons why we go away on summermadness at the end of the year:

1) It's fun!  It's great to unwind after a busy year.

2) We officially farewell our year 9s before they go off to the senior youth group.

3) We spend time thinking about how we can best share Jesus with our friends.  It's helpfully placed less than a month before SUMMERFEST [our biggest evangelistic event of the year] to help us think through why we would want to share Jesus and some practical ways that we can.
